Day 11 | Chillaxing in a Chilly Town

Jan 9, Wednesday
Sa Pa
Kilometers Traveled: 0

Sa Pa is the main town of Sa Pa District, in the Lao Cai province in northwest Vietnam. It is quite close to the border of China. It's known to be a picturesque town, with terraced rice fields and wonderful views of the mountain...when it's sunny.

The good thing about this cold, wet and misty weather : cozy coffee shops become even
cozier.

Cau May street is lined with shops and restaurants. The market can be found along here too.

Because of the inclement weather, we decided against doing any trekking. So basically, our Sa Pa sojourn was spent indoors until it was time to eat. Ah well. Some things just don't turn out as expected - such is travel, as is life. But one thing's for sure, beer is always a good source of cheer!
